A printable invoice that fills in customer details, tax and the balance due.

  1. Pick a customer, skip the typing

    Choose a name from your customer list and the contact, address and email appear on the invoice. Their payment terms set the due date.

  2. Tax only where it applies

    Mark each line taxable or not. A discount applies to the whole subtotal, and tax is calculated on the taxable amount after the discount.

  3. Deposits and part payments

    Enter an amount already paid and the invoice shows the balance due, so a deposit invoice and a final invoice use the same layout.

  1. Add your details once

    Fill in Settings with your business name, address, tax rate and payment instructions. Every invoice uses them.

  2. Create the invoice

    Enter an invoice number and date, choose the customer, then add each item with quantity and unit price.

  3. Send it

    Check the totals, then export a PDF from the editor or download the XLSX. Change the number and lines for the next invoice.

Short answers about how the workbook behaves.

Can I change the currency or tax name?

Yes. The tax label is a setting (Sales tax, VAT, GST). Amounts use a $ number format; change the cell format if you bill in another currency.

Does it number invoices automatically?

No. You type the invoice number, which keeps the numbering under your control. Use a simple sequence such as INV-1048, INV-1049.

Can I keep a record of every invoice?

Save a copy of each finished invoice. To track what has been paid across many invoices, use the free Invoice Payment Tracker.

Is it suitable for my tax rules?

It applies one rate you choose to the lines you mark taxable. It does not decide which taxes apply; check your local rules.

How do I keep my changes?

Use Download XLSX or PDF in the editor before closing the tab. Nothing is saved to a server automatically, and your workbook never leaves your device while you edit.

Will it work in Excel and Google Sheets?

The files use standard XLSX formulas without macros, pivot tables or external links. They are checked with the ExcelCraft engine; compatibility with every Excel or Google Sheets version is not guaranteed. Review formulas, charts and formatting in your app before relying on important figures.

Can I change the currency?

Amounts use a $ number format. Change the cell format to your currency; the formulas do not convert between currencies.
