CSV is useful for moving tabular data between applications, but it carries no workbook styling or multiple sheets. ExcelCraft opens CSV and TSV data in a grid so you can inspect and change cells. Use File → Save As for a CSV export, or download XLSX to keep workbook formatting and additional sheets.

A FEW PRACTICAL ANSWERS
Before you open
that workbook.
Your file stays local. Your original stays intact. Your next step stays simple.
Can I edit a CSV without uploading it?
Yes. The file is parsed and edited in your browser. ExcelCraft does not upload its contents.
Does CSV preserve formatting?
No. CSV stores plain tabular text. Use XLSX if you need styles, formulas, or multiple worksheets.
What should I check after importing?
Check delimiters, accented characters, dates, long numbers, and values with leading zeros. Text import may interpret values differently from the application that created the file.
Can I open a tab-separated file?
Yes. TSV files are supported.
