Weekly timeline bars with progress shading, milestones, late flags and phase progress.

  1. Type dates, get bars

    Bars are drawn with conditional formatting from the start and end dates, so they move the moment you change a date.

  2. Progress you can see

    The dark part of each bar is done, the light part is left. Milestones show in gold; late tasks turn red.

  3. Phase-level progress

    Completion is weighted by task length, so a two-month task counts for more than a two-day one.

  1. Set the timeline

    Name the project, set the Monday the timeline starts and list your phases.

  2. Add tasks

    Enter each task with phase, owner, start and end. Mark key dates as milestones.

  3. Update weekly

    Change % done as work moves. Move the timeline start to scroll forward.

Short answers about how the workbook behaves.

Does it calculate dependencies?

No. If one task slips, update the dates of the tasks that follow. Keeping it manual keeps it simple and transparent.

Can it show days instead of weeks?

Each column is a week. That fits six months on one screen; for day-by-day plans, shorten the timeline start window.

Will the bars work in Google Sheets?

Yes. They are conditional formatting rules on plain cells, which Excel, Google Sheets and LibreOffice all support.

How is this different from the Project Tracker?

The Gantt is about time: when things happen. The Project Tracker is about status, hours and risks across several projects.

How do I keep my changes?

Use Download XLSX or PDF in the editor before closing the tab. Nothing is saved to a server automatically, and your workbook never leaves your device while you edit.

Will it work in Excel and Google Sheets?

The files use standard XLSX formulas without macros, pivot tables or external links. They are checked with the ExcelCraft engine; compatibility with every Excel or Google Sheets version is not guaranteed. Review formulas, charts and formatting in your app before relying on important figures.

Can I change the currency?

Amounts use a $ number format. Change the cell format to your currency; the formulas do not convert between currencies.
